Currently, I serve as a creative copywriter for Airbnb, focusing on the US Hispanic and Mexican markets.
This role involves working with a super talented in-house creative team to develop brand campaigns, seasonal launches, and even product names that resonate with LatinX and Mexican communities.
Before this, I was part of Netflix's Social Marketing team as a creative consultant for the special projects team, where I helped launch and promote shows that have likely caught your eye. I also led creative efforts for Nada Que Ver, a Netflix original podcast.
And even before that, I spent over 10 years in advertising agencies, taking on a variety of roles from art direction to copywriting, and eventually embracing a more strategic and data-focused approach as a creative director.
Well, after a very interesting but demanding project (where we led the revamp of
Mexico City's brand identity), I was burned out. So, my wife and I decided to start from scratch, sell all of our possessions, and embrace a fully digital-nomad lifestyle while traveling around. — Turns out, having a global perspective, a very curious mind, and the ability to quickly adapt to any work style makes for a great set of skills.😅
This led me to work remotely with more than 20 creative teams worldwide on various projects for clients such as Square, Uber, and Spotify, which ultimately led to work within the actual brand teams.
(Plus, having worked remotely long before Zoom was more than a camera feature really helped in the process.)
In 2023, I took a leap into entrepreneurship by launching my very own gin brand, "Dazzler: Gin for Friends". Crafted by friends for friends, our gin offers a unique blend of freshness and flavor that's perfect for any aspiring mixologist. You can even snag a bottle on Amazon 😉.
While living in Mérida, Yucatán, we flipped three houses—transforming them from plain spaces into inspiring gems. One of these projects even garnered over 1 million views on YouTube.
During our travels, we've had some pretty unique adventures: from taking care of chickens in Stirling, Scotland, and gardening in London, to designing a website for a B&B in Rome, naming a boutique hotel in Mérida, and even launching a silk business in Dubai.
Creative copywriter within Airbnb's in-house team working for the Mexican and US Hispanic markets.
Innovative ideas for the launch of new shows, lead creative strategist for Netflix's own podcast, Nada Que Ver.
Direct collaboration with many creative teams, serving major brands with creative and strategic solutions.
Adapting global brand messages for the Mexican and US Hispanic markets, ensuring cultural and linguistic relevance.
Worked alongside the creative and strategy team for new business projects, brainstorming sessions, and direct collaboration with the agency's leadership team.
We fully redesigned Mexico City's brand and changed the way the government communicated. That allowed us to connect with citizens in a much more relevant way.
Carried out comprehensive communication work for Nike, while working on innovation projects and new business ventures for clients such as Google, Sony, José Cuervo, American Eagle, and American Express, among others.
From being a junior art director to becoming a creative director. I was invited to be one of the founding creatives behind one of the best independent agencies in the country.
These are some of the cool teams with which I've worked.
